Have you ever wanted to try machine patchwork but not known how to start?
Via the medium of a carefully planned set project, learn the skills required for successful machine patchwork and quilting. Courses suitable for beginners to the craft and those with some experience run in Letchworth and Watford.
A range of techniques will be covered each term culminating in a quilt or wallhanging or a range of smaller projects. The skills include rotary cutting, getting the best from your sewing machine, making colour choices, machine piecing, hand and machine quilting, applique and basic construction methods.
Classes run a half day a week over 10 weeks in Watford WD17, on
- Thursday mornings, 9.30am – 12.00
- Thursday afternoons, 1.00 – 3.30pm
and cost £180 per term (10 weeks).
Classes in Watford are very small (maximum of 4 people in each class) so that you get lots of individual attention and opportunities to develop at your own pace.

Super testimonial from Anne S for the Autumn term course – I am in my second (or possibly third) year of evening classes with Sheena. She is an amazing teacher who manages to have work rounds for my many mistakes. Her projects each term have improved my skill levels as each one is different. If you are a total novice but like the idea of quilting, Sheena’s courses are just for you. I would highly recommend.
Testimonial from Lynne – Sheena is an inspiration, always happy to advise and fills you with confidence. I look forward to new terms. Thank you for your patience and expertise .
