Your First Modern Quilt – From Start to Finish in Four Sessions – Watford

2 month course, with one session alternate weeks on Saturday mornings from 10-1.00; Starting 6th June 2026

Four in-person sessions will take place in Watford on alternate Saturdays during June and July, from 10.00 until 1.00.  

This is ideal for beginners.  You have the group element on the Saturdays, and also access to an e-learning platform for tutorials and videos, which you can access as often as you need.

This supportive, start‑to‑finish workshop introduces beginner quilters to modern quilting through large‑scale blocks, simple machine piecing, and hand quilting. Students learn essential skills without overwhelm and gain confidence using their sewing machine while enjoying the slow, creative rhythm of hand quilting.

The emphasis is on:

• Clean, modern design
• Simple construction with room for personal expression
• Troubleshooting and confidence‑building
• A relaxed, well‑supported learning environment

During this course you will receive lots of individual attention during the classes and also have access to a private group for additional support.
In addition to the live classes there will be a full tutorial with photographs/diagrams and also videos.

These are small, intimate classes to ensure that you receive individual attention.
