Quilting Classes in Hertfordshire & over zoom

 

If you prefer your learning in a group setting, join our friendly, supportive community of quilters either in person or online and explore your creative side, whilst sharing tea and biscuits.  There might even be cake once in a while!

I love teaching and offer Live quilting classes in Hertfordshire and over Zoom.  They are tailored to suit your needs.  My mantra is KISS – keep it simple, sweetie, and I really believe in using simple techniques to create stunning results.  

  • Learn with me over Zoom or in Letchworth and Watford. These are regular weekly or monthly half-day sessions and occasional day workshops, during which I will work with you so that you can create a quilt or wall hanging.  Scroll down to see what’s on offer!   
  • Zoom Talks come and join us for the next talk taking place over Zoom.   
  • Residential Workshops  There is little nicer than a few days away with like-minded people, working on an exciting new project. Live teaching is supported by very detailed instructions with photographs and diagrams.  These only happen a couple of times a year, so grab a place when they become available!

Ditch Stitch in the Ditch!

Learn over zoom

Classes run over Zoom, a half day a week for 10 weeks on

Thursday mornings, 10.00 to mid-day – aimed at all levels

Quilting classes over Zoom take the best elements of  face to face learning and online learning.  They are small (maximum of 10 people in each class) so that you get lots of individual attention and opportunities to develop at your own pace.  Learning is supported by pdf tutorials and videos, and you have a lovely supportive community.

You have the option to work on your own projects with my support or one of mine.

Hertfordshire Quilting Classes

Quilting classes and workshops in Watford are very small (maximum of 4 people in each class) so that you get lots of individual attention and opportunities to develop at your own pace.

Monthly Classes with online tutorials, Saturday mornings 10am-12.30pm (9 sessions)

Workshops run from 10 – 4 on the specified days.

Classes and Workshops held in my home studio in Watford, which is not designed for accessibility. The space includes stairs and some narrow areas that may be difficult for those with mobility needs. I want to be transparent about this so you can decide what works best for you.

Classes and workshops at Letchworth Settlement are for up to 12 people. They take place in one of the well-equipped craft rooms in this historic adult education centre.   Please book with The Settlement direct – https://www.letchworthsettlement.org.uk/

Termly Classes run over 10 weeks on:

Tuesday mornings 9.45 -12.15pm
Wednesday evenings 7.00-9.30pm

Workshops run from 10 – 4 on the specified days.

"The Textile Textures Playtime course is such fun and very informative!

I always look forward to the first of the month when the new material is sent out as I find it a real stimulus to creativity. The written tutorials, photos and videos are very well presented and easy to follow. In addition, the tutor, Sheena is very approachable and always willing to provide help as needed. The private Facebook group is very helpful too and has photos of many inspiring projects created by students. One of the things I like about the tutorials is the different ways in which the techniques taught can be applied – I have found the course to be so useful for giving me ideas for embellishments to add to the upcycled clothing that I create, and I am sure the course would be of benefit to anyone who creates with textiles in any form and did I mention it is FUN??

I highly recommend both this course and the lovely tutor, Sheena who is an excellent teacher.
