Fed up of trying to applique shapes? Find inset circles tricky? This design will not use applique, instead your shapes will be inset into the background fabric using a super easy, non-fiddly technique.
Organic shapes are imperfect, curved, “natural” shapes that we will draw by hand. You will start on a mini quilt and we will include a quick discussion of composition. The amount of work completed during the weekend is dependent on your level of skill and speed of working. But don't worry, you will take home full instructions on how to complete the quilt. This technique can also be used to sew precise curves and circles by machine and we will discuss how to apply it to other types of quilts.

- Accommodation and meals from Friday 4pm to Sunday 4pm (excluding alcohol) at the Hillscourt Hotel and Education Centre, Rose Hill, Lickey, BIRMINGHAM, West Midlands, B45 8RS

During this course you will receive lots of individual attention. This will be a relaxed, informal weekend.
You should be confident using your sewing machine.

The technique Sheena teaches for inset shapes is much easier than the tricky way of old and faffy ways we used to try to put in sleeves … Sheena is an excellent teacher, endlessly patient and supportive, with a wealth of wisdom and experience, tips and tricks. The instructions she gives are always clear and simple. I’ve found that it’s almost impossible to make “a mistake” in Sheena’s classes as she can always help you to find a work-around or even turn the “mistake” into a design feature!
