This is a dramatic quilt which showcases a traditional block in a modern setting.  It utilises some key design concepts of the modern movement – large areas of negative space and nice clean lines.  The blocks used are adapted Drunkard's Path blocks and Line blocks.  They are set asymmetrically within the quilt.  Accurate matching of the coloured strips is what makes this design so stunning
